Objectives: In this research, the basic data was acquired by analyzing results and trends of korean nursing research related with Sasang constitutional medicine to develope comprehensive, individual and effective nursing invention methods. Methods: Total 25 research papers, published from 1990 till now and related with Sasang constitutional medicine, were selected from the nursing journals including 17 journals of Korea academy of nursing. The collected data was categorized by published year, journal name, general characteristics of subjects, research design method, nursing intervention methods, variables, ethical considerations, and analyzed with computer software of SPSS 17.0. Results: The number of Sasang constitutional medicine applied nursing researches have been continuously increased since the first publication in 1991. Although non-experimental research has achieved large portion of the publication, experimental research has been continuously published. A variety of research subjects, intervention methods and variables has been used in the research, and ethics is also considered in conducting research. However, the research for children, follow-up research, and clear constitutional diagnostic methods are still insufficient. Conclusion: The Sasang constitutional medicine theory that distinguishes the constitutions and the individual differences is very meaningful to the individually-oriented care, and the development of nursing interventions utilizing Sasang Medicine and the applied research should be made continuously. |
